Sutton a thorn in Thistle side

Motherwell's second consecutive win under new manager Ian Baraclough - a 1-0 win over Partick Thistle - saw them climb further away from relegation danger. John Sutton's fifth goal of the season was sufficient to earn the victory and handed Thistle their first defeat in four games at a wintry Fir Park.
