Ernie Banks did not appear ill when he signed and executed a will that left his entire estate to a longtime caretaker, according to witnesses who testified Tuesday at a critical hearing over the hotly contested will of the Chicago Cubs great. After hearing testimony from two witnesses - paralegals for the law firm that executed his will - about whether Banks understood what he was doing when he signed the document, Cook County probate Judge James Riley confirmed the will.
