Cal soccer player died running across Los Angeles freeway

A University of California, Berkeley, soccer player at the center of a two-day search and pleas for his return had been killed running across a Los Angeles freeway shortly after he was last seen leaving a party, but his lack of identification and other complications made confirming his death complicated, authorities said. Eloi Vasquez, 19, was hit by a car on eastbound Interstate 10 about a mile from the University of Southern California, where he had left a fraternity party during a spring break visit to LA, authorities said Monday.
