Jonathan Brownlee ended Javier Gomez's three-year reign in the Auckland world series triathlon, and Gwen Jorgensen kept up her perfect start to the season on Sunday. Gomez won the last three Auckland triathlons, but Brownlee, chastened by a fifth-place effort in the season-opener in Abu Dhabi three weeks ago, was extra motivated.
