Morningside's Kyle Nikkel is the GPAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Morningside College's Kyle Nikkel, a 6-6 senior center from Pella, Iowa, and Ashlynn Muhl, a 6-0 senior forward from Minneota, Minn., have been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Players of the Week for Feb. 16-22. Nikkel went for a pair of double-doubles last week with 17 points and 11 rebounds in the Mustangs' 77-74 victory against Briar Cliff University and with 13 points and 11 rebounds in last Saturday's 90-84 triumph against Concordia University.
