The Los Angeles Kings threw their weight around in the first period Tuesday, delivering several big hits, and took a 1-0 lead on the Detroit Red Wings after one period. The Kings, winners of seven in a row, registered the first six shots of the game against Jonas Gustavsson before the Red Wings pushed back a little.
