Wintry storm drops rain on East Coast cities, snow inland

Heavy rain fell in New York and along the Interstate 95 corridor as a nor'easter moved up the East Coast, dropping snow inland and threatening travel delays on the eve of the Thanksgiving Day holiday. Snow forecasts for the major cities of the Northeast, including New York, were cut to just a few inches or nothing at all, according to the National Weather Service.
