The Newberry basketball season opens with seven games in 14 days and the Wolves headed to Columbia last Monday after winning a Little Four Tournament Championship on Saturday to play in a difficult venue at Allen University. The athletic Allen team scored 54 points in the second half at Winston-Salem State on Saturday and took them to the wire, so it was a game of concern for the Wolves with only one day to prepare.
