RCR loses injunction request to keep Ganassi from hiring McCall as crew chief

Richard Childress Racing tried to keep Matt McCall from working as crew chief for Chip Ganassi Racing driver Jamie McMurray - a job that pays three times his salary as an RCR racing engineer - but a North Carolina Business Court judge denied the request for an injunction last month. McCall was team engineer for RCR driver Ryan Newman, who was winless but was among the four finalists in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, in which he finished second to Kevin Harvick.
