The Sharks and four other NHL teams confirmed one of the worst kept secrets in hockey Tuesday with the announcement that their American Hockey League development teams will form a new Pacific Division next season. All five teams will be based in California a decade after the idea was first kicked around and two years after the conversations got serious with the Sharks among the teams most interested in making it happen.
