Fairley back at practice for Lions

Detroit defensive tackle Nick Fairley returned to practice after a lengthy layoff Thursday, three days before the Lions play at Dallas in an NFC playoff game. Fairley hasn't played since injuring his right knee in a win over Atlanta on Oct. 26. The fourth-year lineman has started every game he's played in over the last two seasons, forming an imposing tandem inside with Ndamukong Suh.
