Niagara holds off late Fairfield barrage, 55-53

Dominique Reid and Wesley Myers combined to score 27 points and Niagara survived a late barrage of 3-pointers by Fairfield for a 55-53 win Thursday night. Reid scored on a layup and knocked down a pair of free throws in the final minute, and Myers was 4 for 4 from the free throw line to hold off the Stags, who got two 3s from Marcus Gilbert, including one at the buzzer to create the final margin, and 3s from Steve Smith and Tyler Nelson in the final 1:32.
