Before toe met leather in August, I, considering myself a well-informed and intelligent fan, predicted an 8-4 regular season, with losses to VT, Miami, Clemson, and u[sic]ga. A post-season appearance at a middle-of-the-pack bowl, resulting in a loss, and a a media reaction that goes something like this.... "The option is outdated, unless its the read option like Oregon or Auburn... anybody with time and a halfway decent recruiting class can beat them with their scout team blindfolded and neutered..
