There has been no official response from the Sky Bet League One club, but it appears that Slade could now be on his way to Cardiff City. The 53-year-old was installed as the odds-on favourite to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Cardiff manager at the weekend, although Orient turned down the Championship club's approach to speak to him on Monday.
