West Bromwich Albion sign Darren Fletcher but swoops for Carlton Cole and Martin Olsson collapse

Fletcher has joined the Baggies on a free transfer from Manchester United, signing a two-and-a-half year deal. But the rug was pulled at the 11th hour on moves to bring in Norwich City's Swedish left-back Martin Olsson whilst they also looked like missing out on Carlton Cole.
