There probably aren't too many college football fans pining for the return of the BCS in the wake of Thursday's national semifinal matchups. The inaugural College Football Playoff debuted with a pair of memorable showdowns, as Oregon walloped Florida State in the Rose Bowl , 59-20, and Ohio State stunned Alabama in the Sugar Bowl , 42-35.
