The NHL club said in a media release Sunday morning it has assigned centre Leon Draisaitl, the third overall pick in June's NHL Entry Draft, to the Canadian Hockey League, the umbrella organization that encompasses Canada's three major junior circuits, including the Western Hockey League. Draisaitl, 19, has appeared in 37 Oilers games this season, scoring two goals and seven assists along with four penalty minutes.
