Michigan State disappointed with 9-5 start but says it has played well enough to be 12-2

When Tom Izzo sat his 9-5 Michigan State basketball team down Saturday in a team meeting, he asked it a big picture question: Are you disappointed? This Michigan State team knows the perception that with five losses one game into Big Ten play that this team has taken a sizable step back from last year -- when the team had one non-conference loss and didn't get its second loss until late January. But Izzo insists the Spartans are not as far away from being a two-loss team as many think.
