Princeton's Shatashvili, Graff claim U.S. Open Qualifying doubles title, fall in singles finals

Punch Maleka, a popular tennis figure in the Philadelphia area, picked up his third U.S. Open National Playoffs, Sectional Qualifying tournament title today at Mercer County Park, winning 6-0, 6-2, and preventing Princeton's Ilia Shatashvili from advancing to the New Haven, Conn., playoffs in his third appearance in singles finals.
