Cubs place RHP Veras on 15-day DL, recall RHP Schlitter from Triple-A
The Chicago Cubs today placed right-handed pitcher Jose Veras on the 15-day disabled list with a left oblique strain and recalled right-handed pitcher Brian Schlitter from Triple-A Iowa.
